Tonyrefail Council Making Waves.

Tonyrefail & District Community Council have made the Clerks & Council Direct Issue.

'Tonyrefail & District Community Council (RCT) is working with a community organisation Tonyrefail Skate-park to secure an international -standard skate-park for the area. The scheme is backed by Welsh Assembly member Mick Antoniw and a number of fundraising events have been held, including gigs by local bands, an afternoon tea and pop-up skate-park.

The community council has purchased land for the project from RCT country borough council. The community group invited four different design companies to present ideas an

d is now applying for national lottery funding for the favored scheme. Cam Wells, treasurer of Tonyrefail Skate-park said: "We are trying to knit together the community council and a strong community group to achieve a skate-park that will attract users from miles around".
