Saturday December 6th 2014 saw the second annual Tonyrefail & District Community Council organized Christmas event, again held at Tonyrefail Leisure Centre. This year we had help from community group C.A.E and Communities first and together we created something truly magical for Tonyrefail.downstairs in the main hall we had a Christmas fair with well over thirty stalls, a free ice rink which was very popular and not just with the kids! face painting, temporary tattooos even decorate your own cakes which was brilliant. if not a little messy.in the Bay Suite we had a Disney Frozen theme going on with an area set for the kids to have their photos taken against a Frozen background and an amazing crafting area where they could draw, colour and make their own Olaf snowman.Upstairs we had bouncy castles and an amazing children's entertainer who had the kids doing all sorts... and didn't stop all dayWe also had Santa's grotto and Santa was so happy after having met Tonyrefails children last year that he brought mrs Claus along this year
to meet us all and she told us that she had to have her own grotto to meet the lovely children of Tonyrefail so we set one up right next to Santa and they gave all the children a Christmas present. This was a wonderfull day and shows what can happen when people with a passion for giving can get together and really work for what they believe in.
